The Sisterhood Of The World Bloggers Award Tag!

1.04.2015

I was tagged by Meg @ Adrift on Vulcan for the Sisterhood of the World Bloggers Award! This is the first tag I've been able to participate in so it was exciting to answer the question, they were very interesting. Without further ado, my answers!

1. Three words that describe yourself?

Anxious, Quiet, and thoughtful.

2.How does a book blurb pique your interest for that book?

I am a total sucker for book blurbs. Unless they do that thing were they compare the story to the current popular sensations. This book is the next Fault In Our Stars, etc. No thank you, show me why it's unique. But for one to hook me, usually it's how the blurb makes the characters stand out for me, more so than telling me the intricate plot.

3. Quick! Share with us your absolute favorite gif!

4. What is one fictional thing you wish existed in the real world?

Anything I think of could possibly lead to mischief and chaos so I think I'll go for a fictional person and choose Rowan Whitethorn maybe? Haha.

 5. Caption this image:

"I told them not to mess with me."

6. What is one word that would describe what you are currently feeling, and why?

Anxious, because I have some important forms to fax!

7. The book gods have decided to gift you three books of your choicewhat books would you pick?

A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas, The Wrath and The Dawn by Renee Ahdieh, and The Last Time We Say Goodbye by Cynthia Hand! I want to read these asap!

8. If you had the power to read minds, whose would you read first?

Sat here for a good five minutes thinking about this but there just isn't anyone's mind I'd want to read? I'd be too worried about my discoveries, haha.

9. You get to choose a dress from any book coverwhich book cover dress would you choose?

The dress on Everneath by Brodi Ashton! I think it's so gorgeous.

10. Finally...What is the ONE BOOK you would endlessly push people to read?

I'll Give You The Sun by Jandy Nelson. That books is so near and dear to my heart I want everyone to enjoy it!

I'm also quite a quiet and thoughtful person, as well as anxious as I do get panic attacks and such. This year I'm trying to not worry so much! If you ever need to talk, I'll always be on email or you can DM on Twitter. :)

I really want to read I'll Give You the Sun, I read her book The Sky is Everywhere a couple of years ago and I LOVED it. She's such a fantastic author! :)

Ahh, it's definitely a struggle! Thank you :D

I hope you get to read it!! She truly is. <3
LOL, I was tagged by Meg as well and I also described myself as an anxious person (LOL what a coincidence). I should've thought of a person, too. Oh my gosh, I'm now reading The last time, & I'm digging it now, hopefully it'll sustain til the end! I've been hearing so many good things about I'll Give You The Sun by Jandy Nelson. Must read it, too. <3
My recent post Hi! I was tagged & that’s only the title I can come up with.

Lol! I've noticed I've become more anxious as I age into adulthood, it can be a struggle. It's nice when there are others who understand that anxious side <3 Haha yeah a person was actually my first thought. :P I hope you enjoy it too the end! It definitely seems like it will be good. Yes I definitely recommend giving it a try <3
Omg blurbs that do theOmg blurbs that do the, this book is A meets B kills me. Those comparisons never work out.

WRATH AND THE DAWN. Will someone just give that to me asap

LOOK AT YOU AND I GIVE YOU THE SUN. I have a copy, now I just need time!

YESSS. That only makes me side eye, not a marketing technique that's right for me, haha.

Right?! There are only three or four arcs I'm really craving and it's one of them!

Ahh!! I hope you get the time!! <3
I'm a super anxious person, too, especially when it comes to interacting with people. I just can't get my mind to stop overthinking scenarios whenever I talk to someone or just send a freaking message. *slaps self* And ugh, book blurbs that have comparisons automatically lower my excitement for them. I know publishers are just trying to appeal to the crowd, but isn't there another more creative way to do that?!

Haha, I will remember to use that gif when a ship of mine becomes a canon. IT FITS PERFECTLY.

Yeah, I think having the ability to read minds would probably turn me into a more anxious person, and more negative, too. I reaaaaally don't want to know the bad things people think about me! So, you know, I'd probably use it to read the mind of my favorite author or something. Just to see what they're scheming. Or my crush. So I know when to give up. xD

Oh gosh, the dress on Everneath's cover is so gorgeous. Especially if it curled around your body like that. You would steal the night wherever you go!

Thanks for doing the tag, Alysia -- loved reading your answers! :D (And I will get to I'll Give You the Sun! One day... :P)

Yes exactly!! Even with my closest of friends I get a bit of doubt and anxiety when talking to them and wondering "am I being too annoying right now, like should I shut up already" lol. It can definitely get in the way of things. And Yes! comparisons in book blurbs are just not for me. I think maybe I'm less meh about author comparisons than comparisons to books that are getting big hype.

YESS I definitely use that gif for shipping moments or other things that go my way. :P Yess, the way the dress drapes so beautifully.

Thank you as well!! I had fun doing it, I get quite excited when I saw that I was tagged. <3 I definitely hope you get to it one day!
OMFG bahahaha that Inception caption is so spot on. You know, I'm an anxious person as well--I overthink pretty much everything in the world and especially over small details. I've gotten better with dealing with it last year but some days I just stay awake at night fretting over things ._. Oh my gosh yes the dress on Everneath is gorgeous! I actually saw where the original dress came from and it was actually a picture from some model on a runway hah.

Nice responses, Alysia! <3 3

Hahaha it definitely looks like he knocked some people out. Exactly! I can't count how many times I've laid in bed with my thoughts driving me all over the place b/c of anxiety, instead of sleeping. I've gotten better at dealing with it too and talking it out vs bottling it up which only makes it worse!! And yes it's so gorgeous!! It looked so familiar and turns out it's Elie Saab, which all the dresses from that designer are so pretty!! Thank you again!
