Top Ten Tuesday: My Auto-Buy Authors

This weekly meme is hosted by The Broke and The Bookish.

Creating this post has made me realize something I didn't realize before: I don't really have as many auto-buy authors as I thought I did. Maybe I've deemed someone an auto-buy author after finishing a really amazing book by them and later on those feelings diminish a bit. And maybe I'll change my mind about these authors being those I'd immediately buy something from (ok not really! Because these authors books are gooood). Without further ado:

Lisa Kleypas and Christina Lauren write some of the funnest romance reads I've come across. If I'm in the mood for that genre, I know exactly who to go to. Unless of course, I'm limited to the fact that I've read everything they have out already! Which is my current dilemma. Richelle Mead has written some of my favorite of the paranormal YA yet. Jandy Nelson and Stephanie Perkins write the kind of contemporaries that leave my with the purest sweetest feelings (though Nelson can be a soul destroyer with the angst!!). And of course, Krista and Becca Ritchie have written some of the most amazing characters I've come across in any genre, so they have a loyal reader in me!

Sadly for my wallet, this list could've been so much longer. The ten authors I chose were striking talents that I thought would appeal to a larger variety of readers. However, even now as I view my TTT List, there's actually very little deviation among what these authors write.

Great list. I could've added quite a few of yours to my list and still been delighted in my choices. Of course it would've not been the neat ten that it is suppose to be. :)

I've seen Lisa Kleypas popping up today- I must catch up on her work! Yay for Christina Lauren, Mead and Perkins too. I have several Ritchie books on my tbr and you make them sound fab! Thanks for sharing your faves :)

Is it weird that although I haven't read a thing by Jandy Nelson I already feel so connected to her? The synopsis for The Sky is Everywhere and I'll Give You The Sun both just seem like books I'm going to absolutely love!

I just love the way you organized this post.
I have only read Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins, and dare I say, I didn't like it.
I'm really excited for Soundless by Richelle Mead. I have yet to read anything by her, but that synopsis sounds amazing!

I loved Lisa Kleypas's series The Hathaways! I think Married By Morning was my favorite in the series. Lisa Kleypas was one of my favorite historical romance writers :) Great list!

That's probably my favorite series from her!! I loved getting to read a book from each of the Hathaway siblings. My favorite is probably Tempt Me At Twilight but Love In The Afternoon is a close second because of Beatrix. <3 Thanks!

I LOVE KRISTA & BECCA. I really want to meet them soon because they're just so amazing. Also, they're genuinely nice girls and are fantastic to their fans. :P I just love them. I really need to read the Christina Lauren duo! I have Beautiful Bastard and definitely want to try it.

I would DIE to meet them!! They're so nice on twitter and I acted like such a fangirl when they replied to me once!! And yes definitely do! IF you end up not enjoying Beautiful Bastard (it's actually the only one I didn't enjoy as much as the rest of their books) their Wild Seasons series is my absolute favorite. Super fun group of characters!!
